Voter registration in Chinatown, circa 1970.

A powerful tradition in the ILGWU has been its consistent encouragement of its members' right to vote. Here Wing Fong Chin, who went on to be a leader in the union, works at a voter registration table in Chinatown. Voter registration drives have been summer projects for the union for decades.
